Life’s a Drag; Lunar Beauty Review

Happy New Year gang! To start off the new year, I’m going to try and get back into the beauty side of things! I bought so many products in 2018, with the intention of review, so I better get round to it! Today’s review is of the “Life’s a Drag” palette by Lunar Beauty (owned by Manny Mua)!

The minute this palette came out, I knew it was for me! As an avid drag race fan, I knew it was a bit of a quirky product I needed. Although not “that” practical for everyday wear, it has a mixture of neutrals, cool tones and bright tones, which can form any look! And if you know me, you know I always add a yellow transition into an eye look I do!

The palette consists of 14 shades, with 2 shimmer shades (Beat and Legendary), which I’m not going to lie, is pretty perfect for this palette. I’m also glad they’re both neutral shades, as this means they can go with any of the matte eyeshadows. The pigment is actually insane! Although the bright shades are a bit chalky and have fallout, the payoff is incredible, and the fallout only takes place in the palette, rather than on the lid/face. The shadows blend nicely, although the blue/purple shades need more work put in, however, this doesn’t mean soft strokes aren’t enough.

All together the palette costs £37.00 (Although is constantly on sale, and you can buy for £18.50), which is more on the pricey side. However, I believe it’s truly worth it if you’re looking for a day to bright palette. It can be a little gimmicky, and I also wouldn’t recommend for travel, as the packaging is bulky, and the mirror has no purpose.

Where to buy? Beauty Bay* and Lunar Beauty
