Although my love for makeup has become distant since getting pregnant, I still like to stock up on new makeup, and I’ve been missing that amazing highlight in my life. Until I saw Manny Mua announce his new Moon Prism highlighters! Of course, being a sailor moon fan, I had to snatch one up as soon as they came onto Beauty Bay’s website.

Packaging

The highlighter came in a nice box (sadly forgot to get pictures) and shown the case of the highlighter from the inside. It was very simple packaging, and I was expecting a little bit more reference in it but still, I tend not to keep boxes anyway.

The actual highlighter is stunning, with a reflective holographic casing, and definitely has a sailor moon aspect to it. It’s also a good-sized pan, and for the price, it was very good!

Price

The price for one highlighter is £25, considering Lunar Beauty is considered high-end makeup, this is quite good for a highlighter. Also, how good the pigment payoff is, and how expensive the case looks, I believe £25 is worth it.

Pigment/Product

The highlighter its self is absolutely beautiful! I bought “Mercury” as it was the lightest shade, which is a very golden shimmer with white monochrome aspects. I would say, this highlighter has a natural aspect, as it glides smoothly onto the face creating a nice easy glow, however, it is buildable and can definitely pull off the ultimate “glow goddess look”.

There are 3 other highlighters on offer too, which I wish there was more of a variety due to skin tone issues there maybe (I would have loved a champagne type shimmer), however, on pictures they look very dark in the pan and it could be a lighting issue. I would recommend “Mercury” to anyone with neutral-yellow undertones and fair skin.

I do believe you could probably find another highlighter which does the same thing as this one for cheaper, however, I personally haven’t found a highlighter that sits perfectly on my skin like this one does!
