Today starts the first day of December and I am so excited! My Blogmas posts won’t be as coherent as the last few years, I haven’t had the time to focus on them. (Read more about what Blogmas is and my advice here) But I’m excited to do some posts for December again! For the first post; I’ll be discussing my current favourite Christmas Adverts of 2019.

Now my ALL TIME favourite advert is the Sainsbury’s advert of 2014; the one that highlights World War One and the “day everyone came together and played football”. But this year I love how authentic and simple it was. It basically tells the story of St Nicholas as a child and I think it’s really beautiful.
Mcdonald’s advert this year was an extension of the “Reindeer” food, the same as last year which was very cute! It definitely highlights children’s imagination and a family coming together at Christmas time. Even if it is over some carrot sticks and chicken nuggets!
So everyone was really excited about the Aldi advert. Why? Kevin the Carrot of course! I never understood the hype but this year they really played to a good strength. They mimicked the Greatest Showman and it gives me goosebumps every time I see it. The Greatest Showman is one of my all-time favourite films and Aldi gets 5 gold stars for the references.
It includes dogs and promotes adoption. Do I say more? Of course, it’s a tear-jerker (also made me really mad) which us as British; really enjoy around Christmas apparently. But it sends a good message that dogs ARE NOT JUST FOR CHRISTMAS. Make sure this Christmas if you do plan on letting a little fur baby into yours or your children’s life; you love them for all the life they give you.
Yeah so at the time of writing this, there weren’t many adverts actually out; or ones that impressed me like the others but I did actually like the Parcelforce advert. It’s very simple and to the point. Plus as someone who sends a lot of mail and takes part in a group Secret Santa, I’m always very aware of postal delays and tracking during the winter season. That sounds really sad but hey ho; I enjoy it.
